“Keep to the light”

Films: Shortcut (2020)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Cave

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: All it takes is one wrong turn for the rest of the day or night to go tits up. Either the car gets wrecked, you end up getting lost, or some combination of both. But the worst thing that can happen is if you enter the turf of something unknown. Chances are, it doesn't like guests...alive.

History: Long ago, a boy watched his sister get massacred by a monster living in a cavern that would eventually become a network of tunnels. The boy grew up pursuing the beast, which he called the Nocturne Wanderer, a vicious hag-like vampire of unknown origin. The pursuit drove him mad, and when a car came into the tunnels, he took the chance to use it to his advantage. The Nocturne Wanderer would come to this car full of morsels, and the youths within will fight for their lives.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After chasing the remaining girls out of the tunnel, the monster is ambushed by the boys wielding torches. Soon, the predator is set on fire, and it keels over. However, it is later shown that there is more than one Nocturne Wanderer...

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Extremely intolerant of light. Fire can kill it instantly.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Most of the time, all we see is some shadowy shrieking menace in a cloak. But the few close-ups we get paint a much more ghastly image. The Nocturne Wanderer's face looks like some kind of bug-eyed demon with too many teeth, and an appetite to match. While the weakness to light is a bit of a hindrance, why do you think it lives in a place shrouded in darkness?

Trivia: -The Nocturne Wanderer was played by Matteo De Gregori. It is one of his only roles, as most of his job in movies is dedicated to prop work.

-Not much else to say here.
